Welcome to Tree-Ring Laboratory of Institute of Botany, CAS
|
 The
Tree-Ring Laboratory was launched in the spring of 2004. It is
housed in the Center of Plant Ecology at the Institute of Botany,
Chinese Academy of Sciences. The members of the lab are conducting
research on dendroclimatology, dendroecology, dendroarchaeology, and
other dendro-disciplines. Regions of the current
research focus are the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its vicinity
areas. The long-term goals of the lab are:
|
to understand climate variability on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau during the last millennium and the way it is linked to other systems at a larger spatial scale |
|
to reveal patterns of response in forest disturbance regime and growth dynamics to global change in typical vegetation types in China |
|
to apply dendrochronological techniques to answer questions related to archaeology and other perspectives |
